Nurturing Leaders and Where to Find Them

My last blog post defined Nurture Cultures (if you haven’t read it, go check it out). Now, let’s talk about Nurturing Leaders and Where to Find Them 🧙‍♀️

They're more than half the battle for organizations to build a strong culture with motivated employees.

Nurturing Leaders...

...care for their employees as human beings above all else ☺️

...encourage the growth of their team, together and as individuals 👏

...endure short-term discomfort, for long-term gain 🏃‍♂️

Nurturing Leaders exhibit strong emotional intelligence and empathy. They actively listen to their team members, understand their needs and concerns, and provide support and encouragement when needed.

Nurturing Leaders lead by example and embody the values and principles of the organization's culture. Their actions align with their words, and they consistently demonstrate fairness, transparency, and integrity in their decision-making.

Do you recognize any of these traits in yourself? Does anyone come to mind when you read them?

If not, now is the perfect time to start honing these skills. They’re invaluable not only to leaders, but also to employees and peers!

So how can you find Nurturing Leaders when you’re hiring for a leadership position?

Look for individuals who prioritize the well-being of their team, demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth, and are willing to invest time and effort in supporting their employees.

Identifying and cultivating Nurturing Leaders is essential for creating a Nurture Culture — a thriving and sustainable organizational culture. 🌱
